Step by step instructions, muscle activation and variants for the Seated Fist Pulse.

EasyInner forearm

About this exercise

A seated forearm drill in which you rapidly pulse your hands between an open and a closed fist position. The rhythmic squeezing motion activates the forearm flexors and extensors, improving grip endurance and forearm circulation.

How to Perform

  • Sit upright with your arms resting on your thighs or extended in front of you
  • Spread your fingers wide in an open-hand position
  • Quickly clench both hands into tight fists, then immediately open them again
  • Continue pulsing open and closed at a brisk, steady tempo
  • Keep your wrists relaxed and neutral throughout — avoid unnecessary wrist flexion or extension
  • Maintain the rhythm for the desired duration
