Running is a fundamental cardio exercise that elevates heart rate, burns calories, and improves cardiovascular endurance. It engages the entire lower body and core while promoting overall aerobic fitness.

How to Perform

  • Stand tall with a relaxed posture, arms bent at roughly 90 degrees
  • Begin moving forward at your chosen pace, landing midfoot beneath your hips
  • Pump your arms in opposition to your legs to maintain rhythm and balance
  • Keep your gaze forward and your shoulders relaxed, not hunched
  • Breathe rhythmically — inhale through the nose and exhale through the mouth
  • Maintain a consistent pace for the desired duration or distance
  • Cool down with a light walk at the end of your run
