About this exercise

The rotational push-up knee tap is an advanced bodyweight exercise that combines a standard push-up with a rotational core movement. At the top of each push-up, you rotate your torso and bring one knee toward the opposite elbow, alternating sides to challenge the core, chest, and shoulders simultaneously.

How to Perform

  • Start in a high plank position with hands shoulder-width apart and body in a straight line
  • Lower your chest toward the floor by bending your elbows
  • Press explosively back up to the starting position
  • At the top, rotate your torso to the right and lift your left knee toward your right elbow
  • Return to the plank position
  • Perform another push-up, then rotate to the left and bring your right knee toward your left elbow
