About this exercise

A standing myofascial release drill where a foam roller is placed between your forearms and a wall to apply sustained compression and break up tension in the forearm flexors and extensors. The vertical position lets you control pressure by leaning in or easing off.

How to Perform

  • Stand facing a wall and place a soft foam roller vertically or at an angle against the wall
  • Press your forearm against the roller, positioning it along the fleshy part between the wrist and elbow
  • Lean gently into the wall to apply comfortable pressure
  • Slowly slide your forearm up and down to roll along the length of the muscle
  • Pause on any tight or tender spots and hold until the tension softens
  • Rotate your forearm to cover the inner and outer surfaces
  • Repeat on the other arm
  • Continue for the desired duration on each side
