EasyTrapezius

About this exercise

A self-myofascial release technique using a firm ball against a wall to apply targeted pressure to the upper trapezius muscle. This helps relieve tension in the neck and upper shoulders, reduce headaches associated with tight traps, and improve shoulder mobility.

How to Perform

  • Stand with your back against a wall and place the ball between your upper trapezius and the wall
  • Position the ball just to one side of the base of the neck, on the upper shoulder muscle
  • Lean back into the wall to apply comfortable pressure onto the targeted muscle
  • Slowly move your body in small circles or shift up and down to locate tight spots
  • When you find a tender area, hold steady pressure for 20–30 seconds while breathing deeply
  • Gently tilt or turn your head to vary the stretch and release
  • Release and reposition to cover other tender spots before switching sides
