About this exercise

The ball roll triceps and lat stretch uses a massage or therapy ball placed against a wall or on the floor to apply targeted pressure and myofascial release to the triceps and latissimus dorsi. Rolling slowly over these areas helps relieve tension, improve tissue quality, and restore range of motion in the shoulder and upper back.

How to Perform

  • Place a therapy ball against a wall or on the floor at the level of your upper arm or side
  • Position your triceps or lat against the ball and lean your body weight into it
  • Slowly roll the ball along the length of the muscle, pausing on any tender spots
  • Hold pressure on tight areas for 20–30 seconds to encourage release
  • Control your breathing and relax the targeted muscle as much as possible
  • Continue rolling for the desired duration, then switch sides if needed
