EasyLower back

About this exercise

A targeted self-massage technique in which a ball is used to apply direct pressure to the muscles of the lower back, releasing knots and tension more precisely than a standard foam roller.

How to Perform

  • Place the ball on the floor and carefully lower your lower back onto it
  • Support your body with your hands on the floor and knees bent, feet flat
  • Slowly shift your body weight to roll the ball along the muscles on either side of the spine, avoiding direct pressure on the vertebrae
  • Pause on any tight or tender spots for 20–30 seconds, breathing deeply to encourage release
  • Adjust your body weight to increase or decrease the pressure as needed
  • Work both sides of the spine systematically before finishing
