EasyNeck

About this exercise

The ball roll back of head stretch uses a therapy ball placed at the base of the skull to apply gentle myofascial pressure to the suboccipital muscles and upper neck. This technique helps release tension in the neck and the back of the head, which is commonly associated with headaches, eye strain, and desk-related tightness.

How to Perform

  • Lie on your back and place a small therapy ball at the base of your skull, just below the bony ridge
  • Allow your head to rest fully on the ball with your neck relaxed
  • Gently nod your head up and down or tilt it slightly side to side to explore tight areas
  • Pause on any tender spots and hold for 20–30 seconds
  • Breathe slowly and allow the weight of your head to create the pressure
  • Continue for the desired duration, adjusting the ball position as needed
