About this exercise

The Ring One Arm Biceps Curl is an advanced unilateral pulling exercise using a single gymnastic ring. With your body inclined away from the ring, you curl your body upward by flexing the elbow of the working arm, demanding significant biceps strength and grip stability.

How to Perform

  • Set a single ring to roughly chest height and grasp it with one hand, palm facing up
  • Walk your feet forward until your body leans back at an angle, arm fully extended
  • Keep your body rigid and free arm at your side or on your hip
  • Curl your body upward by bending your elbow, bringing your hand toward your shoulder
  • Squeeze the biceps at the top of the movement
  • Slowly lower yourself back to the starting position under control
  • Complete all reps on one arm before switching sides
