About this exercise

The resistance band renegade row is a full-body exercise performed in a high-plank position where you anchor a resistance band under both hands and row one arm at a time. It trains the lats and rhomboids while demanding significant core anti-rotation stability.

How to Perform

  • Loop a resistance band under both palms and get into a high-plank position with hands shoulder-width apart
  • Keep your feet wide to create a stable base and brace your core tightly
  • Pull one end of the band upward by driving your elbow toward the ceiling, keeping it close to your torso
  • Squeeze your back muscles at the top of the row, then lower your arm slowly back to the floor
  • Repeat on the opposite side, keeping your hips level and avoiding rotation
  • Alternate sides for the desired number of repetitions
