About this exercise

A unilateral back exercise where you anchor a resistance band under your foot and row with one arm in a bent-over position, mimicking the movement of a dumbbell row. Develops lat width and upper back thickness with constant band tension throughout.

How to Perform

  • Step on one end of the resistance band with the foot on the same side as your working arm
  • Hinge forward at the hips until your torso is at roughly a 45-degree angle, bracing with your free hand on your thigh
  • Grasp the band with one hand, arm fully extended toward the floor
  • Pull your elbow up and back, driving it past your hip while keeping your torso still
  • Squeeze your lat at the top of the movement, then slowly lower your arm to the starting position
  • Complete all reps on one side before switching
