About this exercise

A lateral walking exercise performed with a resistance band placed around the ankles or above the knees, targeting the hip abductors and outer glutes. The continuous band tension challenges hip stability and outer thigh strength with every step.

How to Perform

  • Place a resistance band around your ankles or just above your knees
  • Stand with your feet hip-width apart and sink into a partial squat position
  • Step laterally to one side, maintaining tension on the band throughout
  • Follow with the trailing foot, keeping feet at least hip-width apart
  • Continue stepping in the same direction for the desired number of steps
  • Repeat in the opposite direction to work both sides equally
