About this exercise

A compound bodyweight exercise that alternates between an inclined push-up against the wall and a rear lunge, targeting the chest, shoulders, and legs in one flowing movement. Using the wall for the push-up component reduces intensity while allowing you to focus on the coordination and lower-body pattern.

How to Perform

  • Stand facing a wall at arm's length and place your hands on the wall at shoulder height
  • Perform one push-up against the wall, bending your elbows to bring your chest toward the wall, then press back
  • After pressing away from the wall, step one foot back into a rear lunge, lowering your back knee toward the floor
  • Push through the front heel to stand back up
  • Perform another wall push-up, then lunge with the opposite leg
  • Continue alternating the rear lunge leg for each rep
