About this exercise

A plyometric cardio drill that combines the leg movement of a jumping jack with alternating forward punches, elevating heart rate while engaging the shoulders and core. It is a high-energy exercise commonly used in HIIT and kickboxing-inspired workouts.

How to Perform

  • Stand with feet together and fists raised to chest height in a guard position
  • Jump your feet out to shoulder width while simultaneously throwing a straight punch forward with one arm
  • Jump your feet back together and punch with the opposite arm
  • Continue alternating punches with each jump, keeping a light and bouncy rhythm
  • Keep your core tight and your non-punching hand up in the guard position throughout
