About this exercise

The Pull-In on a stability ball is a core exercise performed in a plank position with your shins resting on the ball. By drawing your knees toward your chest, you intensely engage the abdominals while challenging balance and stability throughout the movement.

How to Perform

  • Place a stability ball on the floor and kneel behind it
  • Roll your body forward and position your shins on top of the ball, entering a straight-arm plank position
  • Keep your hands directly under your shoulders and your body in a straight line
  • Brace your core and pull your knees toward your chest, rolling the ball forward with your shins
  • Pause briefly when your knees are near your chest
  • Extend your legs back to return to the starting plank position in a controlled manner
  • Keep your hips level throughout — avoid letting them rise or sag
