EasyBiceps

About this exercise

A bodyweight biceps exercise performed side-on to a door frame: you grip the frame with one hand at about waist height and curl your body toward it against the resistance of your own weight. It requires no equipment and is an effective way to train the biceps one arm at a time when weights are unavailable.

How to Perform

  • Stand side-on to a door frame and grip its edge with one hand at about waist height, palm facing you
  • Lean your body away from the frame with your arm extended and feet close to its base, creating an angle
  • Keep your core engaged and body straight throughout
  • Curl yourself toward the door frame by bending your elbow, bringing your shoulder close to the frame
  • Hold the contracted position briefly at the top
  • Slowly extend your arm to lower yourself back to the starting position
  • Complete all reps on one side, then switch arms
