A one-arm biceps curl using a resistance band anchored low behind you, for example at the base of a rack. Standing in a staggered stance with the working arm slightly behind the body, the rear anchor keeps the long head of the biceps under stretch, producing a strong contraction through the curl.

How to Perform

  • Anchor the band low behind you and grip the end with the working arm slightly behind your body
  • Take a staggered stance and let the band pull the arm back into a stretch
  • Curl your hand up toward your shoulder while keeping the upper arm still
  • Squeeze the biceps at the top
  • Lower under control, complete the repetitions, then switch arms
