About this exercise

The Medicine Ball Lunge with Biceps Curl is a compound exercise that combines a lower-body lunge with an upper-body biceps curl, maximizing efficiency and training multiple muscle groups simultaneously. Holding a medicine ball adds resistance for both the lunge and the curl at the bottom position.

How to Perform

  • Stand upright holding a medicine ball at hip height with both hands, arms extended
  • Step forward with one foot into a lunge position, lowering your back knee toward the floor
  • At the bottom of the lunge, curl the medicine ball up toward your chest
  • Lower the ball back to the starting position as you push through your front heel to return to standing
  • Repeat on the opposite leg to complete one full cycle
  • Keep your torso upright and core engaged throughout the movement
