About this exercise

The Lying Tuck Up Knee Tap is a bodyweight core exercise performed on the floor. You simultaneously bring your knees toward your chest and reach your hands to tap your knees, creating a V-shape at the top of the movement. It effectively challenges the abs and stabilizing core muscles.

How to Perform

  • Lie flat on your back with legs extended and arms by your sides
  • Engage your core and press your lower back gently into the floor
  • Simultaneously lift your upper body and tuck your knees toward your chest
  • Reach both hands forward to tap your knees at the top of the movement
  • Hold the contracted position briefly, then slowly lower back to the start
  • Repeat for the desired number of repetitions
