The lying floor row with bent knee is a bodyweight back exercise performed lying face-up with knees bent and hands gripping a low fixed bar or table edge. By pulling the chest up toward the bar while keeping the feet flat on the floor, you work the lats and upper back in a controlled, low-impact manner.

How to Perform

  • Lie on your back beneath a sturdy low bar or table edge with knees bent and feet flat on the floor
  • Grip the bar with both hands slightly wider than shoulder-width, palms facing you
  • Brace your core and keep your body in a straight line from knees to shoulders
  • Pull your chest up toward the bar by squeezing your shoulder blades together
  • Hold briefly at the top with chest near the bar
  • Lower yourself back down in a controlled manner until arms are fully extended
