The Lying Elbow to Knee is a bodyweight core exercise performed on the floor that crunches the opposite elbow toward the knee in a twisting motion, targeting the abs and obliques. It combines spinal flexion with rotation to train both the rectus abdominis and the lateral core muscles effectively.

How to Perform

  • Lie flat on your back with knees bent and feet flat on the floor
  • Place your hands lightly behind your head with elbows wide
  • Engage your core and lift your shoulder blades off the floor
  • Bring your right elbow toward your left knee while extending your right leg
  • Return to the starting position under control
  • Alternate sides, bringing your left elbow toward your right knee
  • Continue alternating for the desired number of reps
