About this exercise

Lying Alternate Toe Touch to Floor is a core bodyweight exercise performed on your back. With both legs raised, you alternately lower one straight leg toward the floor and tap it, then return it up while the other leg remains raised. This challenges abdominal stability and hip flexor control with each alternating rep.

How to Perform

  • Lie on your back with both legs raised to approximately 90 degrees and arms flat on the floor beside you
  • Brace your core and press your lower back gently into the floor
  • Slowly lower your right leg toward the floor, tapping it lightly without letting your back arch
  • Return your right leg back up to the starting position
  • Repeat the movement with your left leg to complete one full rep
  • Continue alternating legs for the desired number of reps, keeping your core engaged throughout
