About this exercise

A prone bodyweight exercise where alternate legs are lifted off the floor through hip extension to target the glutes and hamstrings. The alternating pattern challenges core stability and keeps continuous tension on the posterior chain throughout the set.

How to Perform

  • Lie face down on the floor with your legs straight and arms resting under your forehead
  • Keep your core gently braced and pelvis pressed into the floor
  • Squeeze the glute of one leg and lift it straight up off the floor as high as comfortable
  • Hold briefly at the top, then lower it back down under control
  • Immediately repeat with the opposite leg
  • Continue alternating legs for the desired number of reps
