About this exercise

A full-body isometric hold performed in a straight-arm plank position with the feet braced against a wall for stability. The wall contact lengthens the lever and increases the demand on the core, shoulders, and back compared to a standard floor plank.

How to Perform

  • Place your hands on the floor shoulder-width apart and walk your feet back until you can press both feet flat against the wall at ankle height
  • Straighten your arms fully and align your body in a rigid straight line from heels to head
  • Brace your core, squeeze your glutes, and keep your hips level — do not allow them to sag or pike upward
  • Hold the position while breathing steadily, maintaining full body tension
  • Lower your knees to the floor in a controlled manner to end the set
