About this exercise

A plate-loaded standing overhead press performed using a Viking press attachment, targeting the anterior deltoids and triceps while engaging the core for upright stability. The arcing lever path provides a shoulder-friendly pressing angle compared to strictly vertical bar presses.

How to Perform

  • Load the Viking press attachment with the appropriate weight and stand facing the apparatus with feet shoulder-width apart
  • Grasp the handles at shoulder height with a neutral or slightly pronated grip
  • Brace your core and maintain an upright torso throughout the movement
  • Press the handles forward and overhead in an arc until your arms are fully extended
