About this exercise

The Lever Rotary Calf Raise is a machine-based isolation exercise that targets the calf muscles through plantarflexion against a lever pad, providing stable, controlled resistance for building calf size and strength. The rotary cam design of the machine keeps tension consistent throughout the full range of motion.

How to Perform

  • Adjust the machine seat and lever pad so the pad rests comfortably across your thighs just above the knees
  • Sit upright with the balls of your feet on the footrest and heels hanging freely
  • Allow your heels to drop as low as possible to achieve a full stretch in the calves
  • Press through the balls of your feet to raise the lever pad as high as possible
  • Pause briefly at the top and squeeze the calves
  • Lower slowly back to the fully stretched position
  • Repeat for the desired number of reps
