About this exercise

A plate-loaded lever machine chest press performed at a decline angle, placing primary emphasis on the lower pectoral muscles. The decline position reduces upper-chest involvement and increases activation of the lower pecs and triceps with a mechanically stable pressing path.

  • Grasp the handles with a shoulder-width overhand grip, elbows slightly flared outward
  • Unrack the weight and lower the handles toward your lower chest in a controlled arc
