About this exercise

The lever lateral raise is a machine-based shoulder exercise that isolates the medial deltoid through a fixed arc of motion. The machine removes the need for grip strength and provides consistent resistance, making it ideal for targeting the side delts with precise control and high repetitions.

How to Perform

  • Adjust the seat height so the machine's axis of rotation aligns with your shoulder joint
  • Sit upright with your back against the pad, arms resting against the lever pads
  • Keep your core braced and avoid leaning to either side
  • Raise both arms out to the sides until they reach shoulder height
  • Pause at the top, squeezing the medial deltoids
  • Lower the levers slowly back to the starting position
