About this exercise

The lever incline single arm chest press is a machine-based exercise that isolates the upper chest unilaterally. The incline angle shifts emphasis toward the clavicular head of the pectoralis major, while performing one arm at a time helps correct left-to-right strength imbalances and improves mind-muscle connection.

How to Perform

  • Adjust the incline machine seat so the handle aligns with your upper chest when seated
  • Sit with your back firmly against the pad and grip the handle with one hand
  • Press the handle forward and slightly upward until your arm is fully extended
  • Squeeze your upper chest at the top and hold briefly
  • Return the handle to the starting position in a controlled manner
  • Complete all reps on one side before switching arms
