About this exercise

The Lever Incline Hammer Chest Press is performed on a Hammer Strength incline chest press machine, targeting the upper chest through a convergent arc that mimics natural pressing mechanics. The plate-loaded lever provides constant tension and allows independent arm movement for balanced development.

How to Perform

  • Load the desired weight on the machine and adjust the seat height so the handles align with your upper chest
  • Sit back against the pad and grip the handles with a neutral or overhand grip
  • Plant your feet firmly on the floor and press your back into the pad
  • Press the handles forward and upward in a converging arc until your arms are fully extended
  • Hold briefly at full extension, then slowly return to the start position under control
  • Keep your chest up and shoulder blades retracted throughout the movement
