About this exercise

The Lever Decline Chest Press is a machine-based compound exercise that targets the lower portion of the pectorals. The decline angle shifts emphasis away from the upper chest and front deltoids, allowing for effective isolation of the chest-lower fibers with controlled resistance.

How to Perform

  • Adjust the seat height so the handles align with the lower portion of your chest
  • Sit down and plant your feet flat on the footrest or floor
  • Grip both handles with a firm overhand grip, keeping your wrists neutral
  • Press the handles forward until your arms are fully extended without locking the elbows
  • Slowly return the handles to the starting position under control
  • Maintain contact between your back and the seat pad throughout the movement
