About this exercise

Lever Crossovers are a machine-based chest exercise that targets the pectoral muscles through a horizontal adduction movement. The lever machine provides a guided arc of motion that isolates the chest while minimizing shoulder joint stress, making it ideal for finishing sets and achieving a deep chest contraction.

How to Perform

  • Adjust the machine seat so your elbows are level with your shoulders
  • Sit with your back flat against the pad and grasp both handles
  • With a slight bend in your elbows, bring both arms together in front of your chest in a controlled sweeping motion
  • Squeeze your chest muscles hard at the point where the handles meet
  • Slowly return your arms to the starting position, feeling a full stretch across your chest
