About this exercise

A machine-based abdominal exercise where you grip the lever handles and swing your knees or legs upward in a controlled arc, engaging the abs and obliques through a dynamic swinging motion. The machine provides a fixed path that supports the lower back while allowing full abdominal contraction.

How to Perform

  • Adjust the machine seat and handles to your height and grip the handles firmly
  • Sit upright with your feet on the foot rests and your core braced
  • Initiate the movement by contracting your abs and swinging your knees upward toward your chest
  • Control the rotation through your midsection, engaging the obliques at the sides of the movement
  • Hold briefly at the top of the swing to maximize abdominal contraction
  • Slowly lower your legs back to the starting position under control
  • Avoid using momentum — keep the movement deliberate and controlled throughout
