About this exercise

The Leg Up Crunch Bottle Pass is a core exercise where you crunch upward and pass a water bottle between your hands and feet while keeping your legs raised. The continuous transfer forces sustained abdominal engagement and improves coordination throughout the movement.

How to Perform

  • Lie on your back and raise both legs to roughly 90 degrees with knees slightly bent
  • Hold a water bottle with both hands and extend your arms above your chest
  • Crunch your upper body up and reach the bottle toward your feet
  • Grip the bottle between your feet (or ankles) and lower both arms and legs toward the floor simultaneously, keeping them just off the ground
  • Crunch up again and take the bottle back in your hands
  • Lower back down under control to complete one rep
  • Continue passing the bottle back and forth for the desired number of repetitions
