About this exercise

A seated isometric core exercise where you raise both legs off the floor while sitting on a chair and hold the position. It challenges the abdominals, hip flexors, and lower core while being gentle on the spine.

How to Perform

  • Sit toward the front edge of a sturdy chair with your back straight and hands gripping the sides of the seat
  • Brace your core and lift both feet off the floor, raising your knees toward your chest
  • Keep your legs together and your torso upright throughout
  • Hold the raised position, breathing steadily and keeping the abdominals engaged
  • Slowly lower your feet back to the floor when the hold is complete
