The Leg Raise Hip Lift combines a standard leg raise with a posterior hip thrust at the top, maximizing lower abdominal engagement and hip flexor activation. Keeping the legs straight throughout the movement adds intensity and demands strong core control.

How to Perform

  • Lie flat on your back with your legs straight and arms at your sides or under your lower back for support
  • Press your lower back into the floor and brace your core
  • Raise both legs together until they are vertical, keeping them straight
  • At the top, press your hips upward off the floor by contracting your abs and glutes
  • Lower your hips back down in a controlled manner
  • Slowly lower your legs back toward the floor without letting them touch
  • Repeat for the desired number of repetitions
