About this exercise

A seated core exercise in which you lean back at an angle and alternately tap each heel to the floor, challenging abdominal stability, oblique engagement, and hip flexor endurance.

How to Perform

  • Sit on the floor with knees bent and feet flat, then lean your torso back to roughly 45 degrees
  • Extend both arms forward for balance or clasp your hands in front of your chest
  • Keeping your core tight, lift both feet slightly off the floor
  • Rotate slightly to one side and lower that heel to tap the floor beside the opposite foot
  • Return to centre and rotate to the other side to tap the opposite heel
  • Keep your lower back from rounding and avoid letting it touch the floor
