About this exercise

The Landmine Single Arm Side Low Fly is a unilateral chest fly variation performed with the body positioned to the side of the landmine. Standing laterally to the pivot point alters the resistance angle and targets both the lower and middle chest through a sweeping horizontal arc.

How to Perform

  • Set up a landmine attachment and load the barbell; stand perpendicular to the landmine with the barbell end at your side
  • Grip the end of the barbell with the hand closest to the landmine, arm extended downward
  • Keep a soft bend in the elbow throughout the movement
  • Drive the barbell upward and across your body in a wide lateral arc, finishing at roughly chest height
  • Squeeze the chest at the top of the arc
  • Return the barbell slowly along the same path to the starting position
