About this exercise

The Landmine Single Arm Press is a unilateral overhead pressing exercise using one end of a barbell anchored in a landmine attachment. The angled pressing path reduces shoulder impingement risk while building pressing strength through the anterior deltoid, upper chest, and triceps.

How to Perform

  • Anchor a barbell in a landmine attachment and load the free end with appropriate weight
  • Stand facing the landmine, staggered stance, and grip the end of the bar with one hand at shoulder height
  • Brace your core and keep a tall, stable posture
  • Press the bar upward and forward along its natural arc until your arm is fully extended
  • Slowly lower the bar back to shoulder height under control
  • Complete all reps on one side before switching to the other arm
