About this exercise

The Landmine Single Arm Low Fly is a unilateral chest exercise that uses a landmine attachment to perform a fly motion sweeping from low to high. The fixed arc of the barbell provides a unique resistance curve that emphasises the lower chest and the front shoulder through a wide range of motion.

How to Perform

  • Set up a landmine attachment at floor level and load the barbell with appropriate weight
  • Stand with your feet staggered, the working arm's side closest to the landmine
  • Grip the end of the barbell with one hand and let it hang near hip height with your arm extended
  • Keep a slight bend in the elbow and sweep the barbell upward and across your body in a wide arc
  • Stop when the barbell reaches roughly chest height and you feel a strong contraction in the lower chest
  • Slowly reverse the arc under control, returning to the starting position
  • Complete all reps on one side before switching
