About this exercise

The landmine one arm bent over row is a unilateral pulling exercise that uses a barbell anchored in a landmine attachment. The angled resistance path reduces lower back strain compared to a standard bent-over row while allowing a strong contraction of the lats and upper back.

How to Perform

  • Anchor one end of a barbell in a landmine attachment and load the other end with weight
  • Stand beside the loaded end, hinge forward at the hips until your torso is roughly parallel to the floor
  • Grip the sleeve of the barbell with one hand, letting the weight hang at arm's length
  • Brace your core and keep your back flat
  • Drive your elbow up and back, rowing the bar toward your hip
  • Squeeze your lat and upper back at the top of the movement
  • Lower the bar under control back to the starting position
  • Complete all reps on one side before switching arms
