About this exercise

A chest press variation using a landmine attachment fitted with a Viking press handle, allowing a neutral (palms-facing) grip throughout the movement. The arc of the landmine shifts emphasis toward the chest-middle while keeping wrist and shoulder stress low.

How to Perform

  • Anchor a barbell in a landmine attachment and fit the Viking press handle onto the sleeve
  • Stand or kneel facing the attachment, gripping the handles with palms facing each other at chest height
  • Brace your core and maintain a neutral spine
  • Press the handles forward and upward along the arc of the barbell until your arms are nearly extended
  • Squeeze your chest at the top of the movement
  • Slowly lower the handles back to chest height under control
  • Repeat for the desired number of repetitions
