About this exercise

A kneeling mobility stretch that combines thoracic rotation with chest and shoulder opening. By rotating the upper body while kneeling, you target the pectoral muscles, front and rear deltoids, and obliques, promoting upper-body flexibility and spinal rotation range of motion.

How to Perform

  • Kneel on the floor with your knees hip-width apart and your torso upright
  • Place one hand behind your head with your elbow pointing out to the side
  • Brace your core and keep your hips facing forward throughout the movement
  • Rotate your upper body toward the raised elbow as far as comfortable
  • Pause at the end range to deepen the stretch in the chest and shoulder
  • Slowly rotate back to the starting position in a controlled manner
  • Complete all repetitions on one side before switching arms
