About this exercise

An anti-rotation core exercise performed in a kneeling push-up position where you alternately lift one hand to tap the opposite shoulder, challenging core stability and balance with reduced leverage compared to the full plank version.

How to Perform

  • Start on all fours with knees below your hips and wrists stacked directly below your shoulders
  • Engage your core and keep your hips square and level to the floor
  • Lift your right hand off the floor and tap your left shoulder
  • Return your right hand to the floor with control before shifting your weight
  • Lift your left hand and tap your right shoulder
  • Continue alternating sides in a slow, controlled rhythm
  • Avoid letting your hips rock or twist during the hand lift
