About this exercise

A kneeling variation of the archer push-up where one arm performs most of the pressing work while the other arm extends to the side for balance and stability. Performing it from the knees reduces the load, making this demanding chest and triceps exercise more accessible.

How to Perform

  • Start in a wide kneeling push-up position with hands placed much wider than shoulder-width
  • Extend one arm fully out to the side, pointing that hand forward with a soft elbow
  • Lower your chest toward the floor by bending the working arm while keeping the extended arm nearly straight
  • Control the descent until your chest is close to the floor
  • Press back up through the working arm to return to the start
  • Keep your hips aligned with your torso throughout
  • Complete all reps on one side before switching
