About this exercise

The Kneeling Incline Finger Press is a finger and forearm strength exercise performed kneeling in front of an inclined surface such as a bench. By pressing through the fingertips on an incline, the load on the fingers is reduced compared to a flat surface, making it suitable for building finger strength progressively.

How to Perform

  • Kneel in front of an inclined bench or surface set to a moderate angle
  • Place both hands on the surface with only your fingertips touching, fingers spread comfortably
  • Brace your core and maintain a neutral spine
  • Bend your elbows to lower your chest toward the surface, keeping your weight on your fingertips
  • Press through your fingertips to return to the starting position
  • Keep your wrists aligned and avoid collapsing the fingers during the movement
  • Repeat for the desired number of repetitions
