About this exercise

The Knee Touch Crunch is a bodyweight abdominal exercise that combines a crunch with a simultaneous knee raise, creating a meet-in-the-middle contraction that maximally activates the rectus abdominis. The movement is compact and joint-friendly, making it suitable for most training levels.

How to Perform

  • Lie on your back with legs extended and hands placed lightly behind your head
  • Simultaneously raise your knees toward your chest and crunch your upper body forward
  • Aim to touch your elbows to your knees at the top of the movement
  • Slowly lower your upper body and extend your legs back to the starting position
  • Keep the motion controlled and avoid pulling on your neck with your hands
