About this exercise

The knee to elbow touch in a front plank position turns a static core hold into a dynamic anti-rotation challenge. Starting in a high or low plank, you drive one knee diagonally toward the opposite elbow, engaging the obliques, abs, and shoulders while maintaining full-body tension throughout.

How to Perform

  • Start in a high plank position with your hands under your shoulders and body in a straight line from head to heels
  • Brace your core and keep your hips level
  • Drive your right knee diagonally under your torso toward your left elbow
  • Pause briefly when the knee is as close to the elbow as possible
  • Return the foot to the starting position with control
  • Alternate sides, driving the left knee toward the right elbow on the next rep
