About this exercise

The kettlebell standing one arm curl over incline bench is a unilateral bicep isolation exercise where you stand beside an incline bench and drape your working arm over the top of the pad for support, mimicking a preacher curl position. This braces the upper arm and removes momentum, placing constant tension on the bicep throughout the range of motion.

How to Perform

  • Set an adjustable bench to a moderate incline and stand beside it
  • Drape your working arm over the top edge of the bench pad so the upper arm is fully supported
  • Hold a kettlebell with an underhand (supinated) grip in the working hand
  • Curl the kettlebell upward toward your shoulder, keeping your upper arm pressed against the bench
  • Squeeze the bicep at the top of the movement
  • Lower the kettlebell slowly back to full arm extension
  • Complete all reps on one side before switching arms
