Kettlebell Prone Incline Curl

Step by step instructions, muscle activation and variants for the Kettlebell Prone Incline Curl.

MediumBiceps

About this exercise

The kettlebell prone incline curl is performed lying face down on an incline bench, which locks your upper arms in a vertical hanging position and completely eliminates cheating or shoulder involvement. This strict isolation angle places maximum tension on the biceps throughout the entire range of motion.

How to Perform

  • Set an adjustable bench to a low-to-moderate incline (around 45 degrees) and lie face down with your chest on the pad
  • Let your arms hang straight down, gripping a kettlebell in each hand with palms facing forward
  • Keeping your upper arms perpendicular to the floor and stationary, curl the kettlebells upward by contracting your biceps
  • Continue curling until your forearms are roughly parallel to the floor or slightly higher
  • Squeeze your biceps at the top, then slowly lower the kettlebells back to the starting position
  • Repeat for the desired number of reps
